At the end of March our group of three came to Prague. We were to be guests at the wedding. We had already read in the Internet of cold weather to be on these days in Prague. When we landed we could see even a thin layer of snow in the street.

It was really very cold. We found the bus stop and then the tram and after long wandering about unfriendly cold streets reached our hotel at last. I forgot to say that first of all we bought a 100 crown ticket each of us for a whole day for each kind of traffic. It was very simple and saved us a lot of time and efforts. What was really surprising to me, it was underground without any supervisors and control, you only had to buy this wonderful 100 crown ticket. As I understood, it proved to be economical for municipality to believe passengers, as the ticket-collectors were rare. Our hotel was just in the center of the city, very nice and comfortable. After a short rest we went to the Town Hall to look at the moving figures round the big clock that come out every hour.

The large square was full of tourists, most of them young, from all parts of the world, there were a lot of young couples from the Far East. I think it is a rather cheap place, good for young people, the tourist service in Prague is really good. There were a couple of museums there, Salvador Daly and Chocolate museum, we didn’t enter them, but we could watch in a big confectionery store the process of preparing caramel, fulfilled by two workers for public observation. Really, they do much to attract tourists!
